They say opposites attract and I can vouch for that We be at it steady like a dog and a cat You say black and I say white All day long all we do is fight You say the kids are yours when they doing alright You say there mine when they bicker and fight We fight about the rent and all the bills When you roll your eyes you make me wanna run for the hills But when we settle up and do some loving We always wind up with a bun in the oven And just when we think everything is going sweet Back we go to fighting and a yelling in the street Now I don’t know how things are gonna go We be at it steady like a bomb about to blow you be the chalk and I be the cheese I can even see birds out fighting with the bees But when we settle up and do some loving We always wind up with a bun in the oven And just when we think everything is going sweet Back we go back to fighting and a yelling in the street Now we're gonna grow grey and old together And don’t you know we probably fight about the weather But come the time for one to pass away We be kicking and fighting for each other to stay We always settled up and we did allot of loving We always loved to see those buns leave the oven It wasn’t always rosey nor it wasn’t always sweet But without you in my life it would be incomplete

What have I done wrong I’m in the bad books again Singing this old song Oh what heartache and pain What have a done now Kicked out of the bed Lord I don’t know how This old sofa aint good for my head There she goes again No dinner for me Asking where I’ve been Lord I’m hungry cant she see She’s always stashing my beers Telling me they no good Would drive a man to tears I’m always being misunderstood She won’t let me watch TV Always trying to get me a job Why won’t she let me be This whole situation man it’s gotta stop She’s giving me bad looks She’s not talking to me I’ve tried to play by the book What have I done now I just can’t see Something just aint right She’s by the garden fence With her sister about to fight I’m starting to sweat man it’s getting tense I can’t take anymore She’s a driving me insane I’m all packed and for the door I’m gonna move back with her sister again I can’t take anymore She’s a driving me insane I’m all packed and for the door I’m gonna move back with her sister again I’m all packed and for the door I’m gonna move back with her sister again I can’t take anymore She’s a driving me insane I’m all packed and for the door I’m gonna move back with her sister again

Sitting at the Bar order another shot Try to get rid of these blues that I got Burning in my heart baby why you go and leave I cant forget the day you walked out on me Ever since my life has been a sweet misery I gave you everything a man could possibly give a girl Now I know life is short and I should really move on But I cant help but think you done me wrong Time to pick myself up and brush myself off Get back in the game you know there aint no shame All this trouble and strife man its a part of life Who's the girl walking through the door Something tells me my heart is open for more Tell me what do you say girl are you going my way Now I know life is short and I'm a gonna move on So come on now lets get it on If there's anything to take from this story of mine Is learn to have a good time and leave your trouble behind Life is what you make it better make each day pay So bar man hit me with another shot The country music is a rocking and im hot to trot Its gonna be a great night I can feel it in my bones Life's too short keep both feet on the ground And don't let anybody get you down Yeh life's too short keep both feet on the ground And don't let anybody get you down

I got an old dog and I call him swimmer Found him by the old cart river Stuffed in a sack and left out for dead Took him home and gave him a bed Old Swimmer and Me One ear up and the other down He’s a peculiar looking hound Loves to run and jump and play Stays by my side most night and day Old Swimmer and Me He’s always out in the garden digging Shoe chewing, butt sniffing and ball licking He barks from morning light right into the dark I swear that old dog would hear a mouse fart Old Swimmer and Me He rides shotgun with me up in the truck Stinky old hound covered in muck Playing the fool and chasing cats and cars Come feeding time ya never have to look far Old Swimmer and Me He hates the postman and eats all my mail Welcomes me home with a waggling tale I can’t stay mad at him for longer than a day He just likes to do things in his own crazy way Old Swimmer and Me Tilting his head at something that I said Likes to lay around all day in the shed Sticks his old black nose in my face in the morning Takes up half the bed with his twisting and turning Old Swimmer and Me I guess we two are just one in the same Left out for dead until someone kind came Given a home, food and some country lovin If it wasn’t for old swimmer hell I would have nothing Old Swimmer and Me Swimmer passed away just last year He took his last breath and I shed a tear I laid him to rest down by the old cart river Around about the spot where I named him swimmer Old Swimmer and Me Old Swimmer and Me My old pal Old Swimmer and Me

Sometimes I don’t know Which way would be the best to go Don’t really know what it is I’m searching for All I know I gotta keep on and explore Don’t you know the clock of life is ticking Get busy living You know the clock of life won’t wait Enjoy life before it’s too late And no matter come what may, live your life to the full each day To the full each day To the full each day Live your life to the full every day Sometimes it seems to me Things aint going the way I planned them to be Don’t really know what it is that’s gone wrong All I know I gotta keep on keeping on Don’t you know the clock of life is ticking Get busy living You know the clock of life won’t wait Enjoy life before it’s too late And no matter come what may, live your life to the full each day To the full each day To the full each day Live your life to the full every day Sometimes people worry to much Spend to much time at work and not with friends and family enough Don’t forget the important things in this life Where only passing through this world you know it aint gonna happen twice Don’t you know the clock of life is ticking Get busy living You know the clock of life won’t wait Enjoy life before it’s too late And no matter come what may, live your life to the full each day To the full each day To the full each day Live your life to the full every day

When times were bad for me You where the one that helped me to see On those cold and lonely nights You are the one that I hold tight What you mean to me When your standing by my side Gives me such a good feeling inside And I can’t get enough Of the way that you give me your sweet love What you mean to me Want to grow grey and grow old with you Ain't no other woman is ever gonna do Set up our home together I tell you now its gonna last forever What you mean to me Always be here by your side Give you all my loving from morning to night You never gonna have to worry or fear I’m always gonna be right here What you mean to me

I’ve had bad luck days Mountains to climb Had my fair share of bad old times But nothing compares to the times I spend with you I’ve been in the badlands With troubled People I done some things that were not legal But I never met a soul as good liven as you My guardian light in times of Blue I’ve been as been high as a kite Wild as a rover Times in life when the drunk has been my sober But I never been as high as I am when with you I’ve had the world on my shoulders Been to hell and back Found myself off the beaten track But I always know where I am, when with you My guardian light in times of Blue I’ve had times feeling up Feeling down Want to Jump up and get out of town But I have finally found that I belong here with you I’ve faced up to my demons Shed all my fears Finally found my purpose here Wouldn’t have done it without you My guardian light in times of Blue I’ve been as been high as a kite Wild as a rover Times in life when the drunk has been my sober But I never been as high as I am when with you I’ve faced up to my demons Shed all my fears Finally found my purpose here Wouldn’t have done it without you My guardian light in times of Blue

Think Twice 03:47
If you see an old timer Give a nod say hello Don’t be passing on by All busy and on the go As you may be old someday And think to yourself Am I just in the way If you see someone in need Give a lending hand Don’t be passing on by And thinking all is gonna be grand As you may be in need someday And think to yourself Why do they walk away If you see someone lost or astray Give some advice Don’t be passing on by Always think twice As you may be lost someday And think to yourself I wish someone would show me the way If you see someone down on their luck Give some support Don’t passing judgement Like a jury in a kangaroo court As you could find yourself on the street someday And think to yourself I wish my life was in another way Next time you’re out and about Open your eyes Offer a lending hand Or even some advice Give thought to others Not just to yourself As it could be you some day in need of help

Hurtin' Wine 03:34
Well, I had me a thirst tonight Had to put up a fight This goes back a long ways To my darkest troubled days The Pisser was calling me in To drown my sorrows and sin But I had to decline My old friend hurtin' wine Hurtin' Wine, it all came at a cost Hurtin' Wine, I had loved and I had lost Hurtin' Wine, well it made me who I am And to the dry shore I swam, from old hurtin' wine From a young age I had begun Found myself always on the run Times I was at death's door And still I'd cry for more I got myself back on track Swore I'd never go back Time came to draw the line From my old friend hurtin' wine Hurtin' Wine, it all came at a cost Hurtin' Wine, I had loved and I had lost Hurtin' Wine, well it made me who I am And to the dry shore I swam, from old hurtin' wine I can never forget The dark days I resent But I'm free today A new man, so they say Like a ship in stormy weather Through rough seas we journey together But now its Just a day at a time From my old friend hurtin' wine Hurtin' Wine, it all came at a cost Hurtin' Wine, I had loved and I had lost Hurtin' Wine, well it made me who I am And to the dry shore I swam, from old Hurtin' Wine Just a day at a time From old hurtin' wine

Fall Guy 03:35
My bags are packed and I’m ready to go Where I’m bound for I don’t know All I know I gotta get out of here Because my heart is filled with fear I know that times have changed, between you and me Things ain't going the way they used to be I remember the days of roses and wine But lately all we do is fight all the time But you can Blame it all on me I’ll take the fall You can move on Free from it all I’ll be on my way No need to cry Blame it all on me I’ll be the fall guy A belly full of liquor and a hurtin mind Can turn two lovers into the fighting kind A jealous mind is like a Loaded Gun It don't take much for the loving to turn But you can Blame it all on me I’ll take the fall You can move on Free from it all I’ll be on my way No need to cry Blame it all on me I’ll be the fall guy Yeh you can Blame it all on me I’ll take the fall You can move on Free from it all I’ll be on my way No need to cry Blame it all on me I’ll be the fall guy

Woke to the news this morning Gods angels came calling Took you from our life Could have knocked me down with a feather Thought you'd be around for ever Pain cuts deep like knife Mama just ain't been the same Since you where taken she’s in pain It’s hard to watch and hear her cry's But we know your safe in heaven Stories and jokes you be telling Your Irish humour and smiling eyes Blessed you where my father We had a bond like no other Always you where there for me Even now that your gone I don’t feel alone Close my eyes and your love I still see We'll always be together In my heart you’ll be forever Long as I Live and we meet again In god I trust and believe It was your time to leave When the angels called your name Angels called your name.
